I’ve found myself back on Chantecaille’s  amazing skincare and makeup website after reading about a new product launch recently. I indulged myself with a new-to-me product as well as some well-loved favorites. Orange Flower Water

This is a new-to-me product. I’ve been reading a lot about facial misting sprays and their role in both balancing your skin as well as adding extra hydration (which I desperately need during the summer months). My skin has been on the drier side as I have aged. I’ve been reluctant to start reapplying additional moisturizer throughout the day in an effort to avoid that *shiny/greasy* look. I also want to avoid product buildup on my skin (lotion overload) which can result in clogged pores. As much as I love my current skincare products, too much of a great thing can quickly become … well … TOO MUCH??

I adore oranges and anything with a fresh citrus scent. This product delivers! It applies as an aromatic face spritz that is scented with pure orange blossoms. It is advertised as being steam-distilled to capture the powerful properties of the blossoms. Each refreshing spritz revives the spirit and senses with a soothing, fragrant mist that balances and refreshes the skin. It can be also used in aromatherapy to help relax and support better sleep. It plays well with my foundation and simply hydrates my skin without interfering with any of my makeup application. I’ve not experienced any type of product overload on my skin when I reapply this throughout the day on my face. Instead, my skin remains hydrated with a refreshing orange scent.

Perfect Blur Finishing Powder

This powder provides an incredible blurring (photographic) effect when used on your skin. Your skin really does appear almost flawless upon application. Its amazing and weightless on your skin and doesn’t cake up or feel/look heavy on your skin. It is commonly sold out on the website so keep checking back as the re-stock it quite often. It is advertised as An ultra fine instant blur powder that perfects the complexion in a collectible, limited edition compact. The weightless finishing formula helps skin appear softly filtered and flawless. The long-lasting gel-powder is infused with a special combination of optically correcting pearls and blurring spheres to filter out imperfections.

The compact itself is like a beautiful accessory that you pop in your purse and carry with you. Perfect Blur Finishing Powder comes in two shades and can be used in multiple ways. First, it is to be used as a blurring powder that sets your makeup to last throughout the day. I have purchased both the Light/Medium and the Medium/Deep. The Light/Medium I use more as a sheer setting powder over my foundation as a setting powder. Second, the Medium/Deep I use as a lightweight natural bronzer to add color to my face. It is wonderful as a highlighter, bronzer and even an eye shadow that can be used to tie together your color palette on days when you want a little something extra as opposed to a bare face.
